A perfect Winter Warmer

HOT PENZANCE GIN TODDY


Ingredients
50ml Penzance Gin
3 tsp Honey
1 Cinnamon stick , snapped in half
2 tbsp freshly squeezed orange
2 Cloves

Method
Pour the honey into a heatproof glass/mug and pour over the Gin and freshly squeezed orange juice. Top up with boiled water and stir until the honey has dissolved. Add cinnamon sticks and cloves, then garnish with a Orange slice to serve and a little grated nutmeg.

NIGELLA LAWSON'S

GREEN, MEAN, DIRTY MARTINI


Ingredients
4 x 15ml tablespoons (60ml) Penzance Gin
1 x 15ml tablespoon Dry White Vermouth
2 x 15ml tablespoons liquid leftover after salting cucumbers
Ice cubes, for shaking and a Gordal Picante olive for garnish

Method
Put a martini glass in the fridge or freezer to get good and cold. Then pour the gin, dry white vermouth and the salty cucumber liquid into a cocktail shaker, along with a generous tumble of ice cubes. Shake it vigorously and then strain into your chilled martini glass. Skal!

A dangerously drinkable cocktail

THE NEGRONI


Ingredients
25ml Penzance Gin
25ml Campari
25ml Vermouth
Squeeze of Fresh Orange Juice

Method
Pour the Gin, Vermouth and Campari into a mixing jug or a glass and add ice. Stir until the outside is icy cold. Then strain into a vessel of your choice (we like to keep it classic with a tumbler). Add a couple cubes of ice and garnish with orange, you may wish to use blood orange when in season.

A dash of Vitamin C

THE SOUTHWEST SIDE


Ingredients
40ml Penzance Gin
30ml Lime Juice
Mint leaves and Soda water (optional)
15ml Sugar Syrup

Method
Add 30ml lime juice and 15ml sugar syrup into a cocktail shaker stir throughly, add 40ml Penzance Gin, ice, 4 mint leaves and shake well. Then strain into a martini glass adding a mint leave for garnish. Psss we love to add 30ml of soda water for some fizz in our Southwest Side! Learn how to make Sugar Syrup here.

Bitter and Sweet

GRAPEFRUIT FIZZ


Ingredients
30ml Penzance Gin
60ml Freshly Squeezed Grapefruit Juice
Bottle of Tonic Water
25ml Prosecco
Grapefruit Slice and Ice

Method
Fill the glass with ice then pour in 30ml of Penzance gin followed by 60ml of grapefruit juice. Top with Prosecco, tonic water and a slice of grapefruit for garnish. See here how to cut citrus for cocktails!

A Taste of Summer

ORANGE BLOSS


Ingredients
25ml Penzance gin
25ml Vermouth
25ml Orange Juice or Orange Sanpellegrino (for fizz)

Method
Pour 25ml Penzance Gin and 25ml of Vermouth over plenty of ice, into your glass. Stir gently to combine and top off with Orange juice or Orange Sanpellegrino garnish with an orange peel.

A very berry affair

PENZANCE BRAMBLE


Ingredients
50ml Penzance gin
30ml Lemon juice, Freshly squeezed
15ml Blackberry liqueur
15ml Sugar Syrup
Lemon slice, fresh (or thawed) blackberries, to garnish

Method
In a shaker packed with ice, shake gin, lemon juice and sugar syrup vigorously. Strain into a glass filled with crushed ice. Drizzle liqueur over ice. Here you can learn how to make Blackberry Liqueur.

Quintessentially Cornish

CORNISH GARDEN COCKTAIL


Ingredients

50ml Penzance Gin
75ml Polgoon Cornish Elderflower Pressè
25ml Polgoon Cornish Apple Juice
10ml lime juice
Cucumber ribbons, to serve

Method

Shake all the ingredients except the cucumber with ice and strain into a tall glass with filled with fresh ice.

Decorate with cucumber ribbons to serve.
